Spring '09_Visible Certainty

The predominate emphasis of this course was to provide students with a means of conveying an idea or thesis through diagraming. The sequence of diagrams below attempts to describe a cinematic story through a sequence of images. The question here is, can these images begin to describe the processes and development of the movie "Memento" without actually experiencing the film?

Fall '08_A Coutyard House

The courtyard house was fundamentally generated employing the Tartan Grid. The basic premise of this method is to begin by laying out lines with a specified distance between each in both the vertical and horizontal direction. Once this is done the designer organizes the plan of a building operating within this system. This however, does not represent the end all of this method, it is instead a single step in an iterative process. Therefore, the designer may refine the grid multiple times each time distilling down a more and more successful version of the original grid.
